Chateau Marsannay, Clos Vougeot Vintage:2016 but needs 2-3 years to(from a . 21 ha parcel of 100+ year old vines in Quartier des Marei Haut). A beautifully layered and unusually elegant nose presents notes of red and dark currant, spice, discreet wood and soft earth. The elegance of the nose is enhanced by the relatively refined texture of the medium weight flavors that are at once succulent but punchy, all wrapped in a youthfully austere finale. This needs more depth but its certainly an elegant Clos de Vougeot.
