MEL ist eine deutsche Sängerin und Songschreiberin aus dem Raum Heidenheim. Schon seit früher Kindheit schreibt Sie ihre eigenen Songs. In ihrer aktuellen Wahlheimat Ulm ist ihr Name nicht mehr unbekannt. Sie gewann mit früheren Band Projekten zwei mal den Deutschen Rock und Pop Preis in den Kategorien „Beste Pop Band“ und „Beste Alternative Band“ . Nach langjähriger Erfahrung mit verschiedenen Musikprojekten, Live-Auftritten und Studioprojekten, kehrt die gelernte Musiktherapeutin wieder zum Ursprung ihrer Musik zurück.
In einer Umbruchphase im Frühjahr 2017 startete Sie ihr Soloprojekt MEL. Ihre aktuellen Songs schreibt Sie auf Deutsch. MEL steht für Wahrheit, Mut und für Veränderung. Sie sieht es als ihre Mission, für eine bessere Welt aufzustehen und Menschen mit ihrer Musik zu bewegen. MEL ist bekannt für eine Stimme mit großem Wiedererkennungswert und Songs mit Ohrwurm-Charakter. Musik ist ihre Sprache und der Kernpunkt ihres Lebens.

Folk aus Erlangen
One Chord Left spielen feinsten Folk mit markant rauhem Gesang und anspruchsvollem Songwriting. Die drei Jungs aus Franken, ehemalige Mitglieder der Punkrockbands TAXDODGERS und POLECATS haben die Marshall-Stacks zur Seite gerollt, um mit Akustikgitarre, Bass, Mandoline und Mundharmonika leisere Töne in amerikanischer Folk-Tradition anzuschlagen. Das bedeutet aber nicht, dass ihre Musik deshalb weniger energiegeladen daherkommt, denn ihre Punkrock-Wurzeln sind deutlich herauszuhören. Mit ihren Songs über das Streben nach Freiheit und der grossen Liebe bringen sie ein Gefühl von Fernweh und Abenteuerlust auf die Bühne.

Eine Metal-Band aus Nürnberg mit einem Arsenal an treibenden Riffs und einer harten „in-your-face“-Attitüde, die jedes Publikum zum Schwitzen bringt.
Dank verschiedener Erfahrungen aus unterschiedlichen Projekten auf sowohl der Bühne sowie im Proberaum, ist es nun an der Zeit die Stage mit unserem musikalischen Material zu erobern: Ausgefeilte Chordstrukturen, knallharte Breakdowns und melodische Tonfolgen harmonieren genauso wie unsere Bandmitglieder die erstmals als Karmament zusammenkommen.
Mit dem Gitarristen aus der frühen Era von Soul Demise, Ex-Mitgliedern der einst lokal bekannten Nürnberger Hardcore-Band Shattered Remains am Schlagzeug und Bass sowie einem Underground-Vocalist ist Karmament endlich bereit, sich der Welt zu zeigen.

Das Mega Mini Open Air Konzert mit Loonaloop findet bei Elektro Franke im Industriegebiet Lichtenau bei Immeldorf im Grünen statt. Gleich Urlaubstag nehmen. Camping am Straßenrand und Zelten auf der Wiese ist kostenlos möglich. Es wird einen Imbisswagen geben, und es wird gegrillt.

Songwriter Rock aus Franken?
Ein Singer-Songwriter-Duo und seine Band machen Songwriter-Rock. Was auch sonst? Gitarren, Bass, Schlagzeug, Klavier, Akkordeon, Orgel, Mandoline und Mundharmonikas – mehr braucht der Mensch nicht zum Glücklichsein.
Weil der Mensch aber nicht immer glücklich ist, macht er Lieder. Und auch wenn er glücklich ist, macht er welche. Weil er sich immer mitteilen will. So auch wir. Wir sind Giftwood. Wir singen und spielen die Melodien, wie sie fallen, und schälen Songs aus dem Holz des Giftwood Forest wie Archäologen Vasen ausgraben.
Eine Band sind wir, wie sie im Buche steht. Weil wir das werden wollten, wenn wir groß sind. Eine Band, die richtige Songs spielt, ohne Brimborium, sondern auf den Punkt und wie sich’s gehört, und bei der vor allem zweistimmig gesungen wird! „Forest Rock“ haben wir diese Musik einmal genannt, und der Name bezieht sich auf diesen Ort, den Giftwood Forest, in dem immer 1972 ist. Oder 1995. Oder 1966. Daraus nehmen wir vor allem eine Maxime mit auf die Bühne, die in jeder einzelnen Note steckt und uns ganz wichtig ist: Die Sonne scheint für alle.
